Good

Good. such a subjective word. I have never seen two people define being good in the same manner. Everyone sees good differently. Some feel you are good when you take care of yourselves, some feel you are good when you take care of others. For some, being good is being healthy and for some being good is being successful. 

For me, good can not have an objective definition like other words. Good is seen differently by everyone and it is really about perspective. But still, there must be something in common right? Something binding all the perspectives together to give us a universal meaning of good?

If you think about it, all the deeds termed as good have always aimed to conclude in one thing, happiness. Whether you bring happiness to yourself or to someone else, happiness is happiness. And undeniably so, something that starts off with good always ends with happiness.

So does that mean that good is the pursuit of happiness? Well, maybe. I will leave that up to the beholder.  

And to be very honest, isn’t it more fun having different shades of colour rather than there being just one?

This piece was actually my writing assignment for a course I am doing. The prompt was Open up a dictionary to a random word. Define what that word means to you.

And I feel I was really lucky to randomly land on such an interesting word ( trust me, it truly was entirely random). Good is something I can talk about extensively. it's just so fascinating, seeing all the different perspectives,
