You've changed

Someone told me ' you've changed'

Someone told me ' I liked the old you'

That truly puzzled me 

Is it because I started saying no to you?

Or is it because your wish is not my command anymore?

Is it because I finally saw your true self

Or because I finally realised who I am 

And exactly how did you notice me 'change' ?

Must be because I am not so glum anymore

Or because I dont breakdown ever so often

Maybe its because I realised your validation was temporary, and of those who mattered , were permanent

Or maybe its because I dont prioritize you over all the other people in my life anymore 

I think its because I got all the things I  seeked, no, needed

Or just because you had never really seen me smile 

I cant deny the fact that I have changed

But if you couldnt see that this 'change' was not change but growth, growth that finally made me happy

Then maybe you never knew me afterall
